Local Pool, Lytham St Annes
St Annes swimming pool is located on south promenade 200 meters from St.Annes pier, and only 5 minutes walk from the square. The pool is 25 meters long and 12.5 metres wide. The dept slopes gently from 0.9 metres in the shallow end to 2.1 metres in the deep end. The learner pool is 14 x 7 meters with an even depth of 0.7 metres.
It was closed due to council cutbacks, and it's closure did not go down well with locals. I'm sad to have seen it close, as I learnt to swim in this pool and used to go there at least once a week.
